Because they call me City Search...

Yes, I am aware I have started two blogs within the last week.  The first blog is more of a personal blog.  What's on my mind sort of deal...  This one is more of a restaurant/bar guide for Los Angeles.

I am starting this because people are always asking me where to go.  What's the best happy hour?  Where is a good restaurant?  What's a cool bar?  Disclaimer:  I have not seen all of LA nor do I claim to be an expert on food and wine.  This blog will simply consist of my favorite places that I frequent in Los Angeles as well as new discoveries.  In addition, if you have places you love, send them my way...

So, what's on tap?

The Cat & Fiddle.

HOURS
11:30am - 2:00am Daily

This is my favorite bar in Los Angeles.  I have spent two birthdays here, countless friends' birthdays, and an abundance of entertaining evenings.

The draw to this place, besides Stella on tap, is the courtyard.  This "traditional" English Pub features a menu of fish and chips, bangars and mash, and Welsh Rarebit (not to be confused with Brer Rabbit)...its just another name for grilled cheese.  If you are lucky enough to get a table in the courtyard, you can imbibe under the stars, if not the interior offers dart boards, a juke box and booths that are more reminiscent of an Applebees than a watering hole in London...  That being said, everyone ends up spilling out into the courtyard at some point in the evening anyway.

Oh yeah, and they feature live Jazz on Sunday evenings from 7pm - 11pm.
